Sungrow signs 2 GW distribution agreement with Solar Juice: Inverter solutions supplier for renewables, Sungrow announced that it has signed a 2 GW supply contract for PV inverters, storage system, batteries, et al with Solar Juice, which is one of its long-term distribution partners in Australia. The contract is supposedly one of the largest contracts in the Australian solar market. In Australia, the residential, commercial and industrial (C&I) segments act as the engine for the growth of the solar market growth, and will continue to have increasing PV and ESS deployment in the near future. In the light of this, Sungrow and Solar Juice have initiated this unprecedented cooperation to better serve customers' booming demands.

Trina Solar's Vertex S wins Red Dot Product Design Award 2022: Chinese solar module manufacturer Trina Solar announced that its ultra-high performance rooftop module Vertex S series has won the Red Dot Design Award, an international industrial design award. The product has been selected for its advanced design concept and excellent user experience. The upgraded G12R modules, Vertex S and Vertex 580 W, as members of Trina Solar G12 family, will be officially launched at Intersolar Europe on May 11. It was last year that Trina Solar developed a high efficiency solar cell production facility in China with plans for an annual production capacity of 8.5 GW for its high power Vertex product line (see Trina Solar: 8.5 GW High Efficiency Solar Cell Capacity)

Crown Advanced Material plans to raise about RMB 2 billion: National high-tech enterprise specializing in the research and development, production and sales of new energy and new composite film materials, Crown Advanced Material, announced that it plans to raise funds of up to RMB 2 billion ($0.30 billion). Out of which, the company plans to invest:

• RMB 940 million ($139.7 million) in Crown Lithium Film Company with an annual output of 200 million square meters of aluminum-plastic film construction
• RMB 240 million ($35.6 million) in Crown Lithium Film Company with an annual output of 100 million square meters of aluminum-plastic film construction
• RMB 420 million ($62.42 million) in Jiaming Film Company with an annual production of 100 million square meters of fluorine-free backsheet construction and
• RMB 400 million ($59.4 million) to supplement working capital.

Yabo Technology to set up a JV with Conch New Energy: Construction financial technology service enterprise Yabo Technology said that it intends to jointly invest with Conch New Energy, Kaisheng Construction, and Huasun Energy to establish Xuancheng Conch Construction Photovoltaic Technology Co., Ltd. The joint venture will build a BIPV photovoltaic building material production line project in the Xuancheng Economic and Technological Development Zone in phases. The total investment of this project is about RMB 600 million ($89.17 million), of which in the first phase will be built a PV curtain wall production line with an annual output of 300,000 square meters, and also a PV tile production line with an annual output of 50 MW and an annual output of 30 MW metal roof production line. The total investment will be about RMB 300 million ($44.59 million).
