Trina ranked second in Q1/2022 shipments, focuses on G12 format: Chinese solar module manufacturers Trina Solar said, after shipping 8 GW in the first 3 months of the year, it was ranked second in global module shipments in Q1/2022. It cited PV InfoLink, which expects Trina to ship 43 GW in 2022, and keep the second rank, which it already held last year. In 2021, 26 GW of 210mm / G12 were shipped of which Trina contributed 16 GW, more than anyone else, the company said.

Solar performs best in CR Power’s subsidiary power plants: Wind and hydropower plant operator China Resources Power announced that total net generation of its subsidiaries’ power plants in April 2022 decreased by 7 % year on year to 12,928,777MWh. Among this, subsidiary wind farms increased by 31.5% year on year to 3,648,181MWh, and subsidiary photovoltaic plants increased by 75 % year on year to 122,091MWh. The total net generation of subsidiary power plants for the first 4 months of 2022 increased by 4.3% year on year to 58,839,259MWh, among which, subsidiary wind farms increased by 14.3% year on year to 12,077,779MWh, and subsidiary photovoltaic plants increased by 67.6% year on year to 437,556MWh.

Hengdian Group pegs 2022 module shipment target at 5 GW: Vertically integrated solar module manufacturer from China, Hengdian DMC, said that it has about 8-9 GW of cell production capacity this year. The company expects to select N-type TOPCon and P-IBC for capacity expansion next year according to the technical route and equipment maturity. In 2022, the company’s photovoltaic module shipment target is 5 GW, out of which about 4 GW will be shipped to the European market, and about 1 GW will be shipped to Japan, South Korea and other countries and domestically.
