Flat Glass to raise RMB 6 billion to expand PV glass production capacity; Mubang Hi-Tech strikes TOPCon project deal; Gaojing partners with Yibin Govt; Xinjiang PV mounting systems production line kicks off; MedicalSystem partners with Anzhou Govt to build PV industrial park.

Flat Glass to raise RMB 6 billion: In an announcement, Chinese supplier of solar PV glass, Flat Glass Group, said that it plans to non-publicly issue about 509.068 million A shares to raise an amount up to RMB 6 billion ($0.90 billion). The funds will be used for:

  • Manufacturing high-transparency panels with an annual output of 1.95 million tons of new energy equipment
  • Manufacturing ultra-thin ultra-high-transparency panesl with an annual output of 1.5 million tons of new energy equipment
  • To supplement working capital.

Earlier this year, Flat Glass Group shared its intention to purchase 100% equity of Anhui Dahua Oriental Mining and Anhui Sanli Mining (see China PV News Snippets)

Mubang Hi-Tech & Anyi sign 8 GW TOPCon project deal: Educational toy maker Mubang Hi-Tech said that the company in association with People’s Government of Anyi County will be building a 8 GW TOPCon solar cell production project. Currently, Mubang Hi-Tech is not engaged in the solar cell business, nor is it active in TOPCon cell R&D. At the moment, both the parties have just formulated a framework agreement; the investment amount is yet to be decided.

Gaojing partners with Yibin Govt for silicon crystal growth project: PV equipment and modules seller Gaojing Solar and the Yibin Municipal People’s Government has got into a partnership to construct and produce projects with an annual output of 50 GW of Czochralski monocrystalline silicon rods and 30 GW of monocrystalline silicon rods and slicing. The total investment is about RMB 22 billion ($3.31 billion), and the construction will take place in three phases. The annual output value of the project is expected to exceed RMB 25 billion ($3.76 billion).

Xinjiang gets first PV mounting systems production line: Photovoltaic equipment company Weiren New Energy Technology has introduced Xinjiang’s supposedly first production line for photovoltaic brackets, according to local media reports. It took less than 30 days to put the project into trial production. The order amount is supposed to have exceeded RMB 200 million ($30.06 million). The photovoltaic module bracket materials comprise new energy materials, with strong anti-corrosion ability and self-healing ability.

MedicalSystem to build PV industrial park including cell production: District Anzhou and clinical informatics and digital hospital solutions provider, MedicalSystem Company, have got into an agreement to build a photovoltaic industrial park, local media outlets reported. MedicalSystem will be contribute in the industrial landing and construction of the park. Adhering to the mode of government agency construction and phased investment, initially, a smart factory will be built with an annual output of 8 GW of high-efficiency monocrystalline cells. Expected to complete in the next three years, the total investment of the project is expected to exceed RMB 3 billion ($0.45 billion).
