LONGi launches one-stop household PV solution: Chinese vertically integrated solar PV company LONGi announced that it has launched a one-stop household photovoltaic solution called LONGi Sunflower. The Sunflower is a set of convenient, efficient, and highly reliable system solutions created for distributed groups of households. The solution aims to provide integrated services for users – right from the installing the power station to the later stage of operation and maintenance. With this solution, the users now have a one-stop hosting services covering the entire life cycle of the power station. Recently, LONGi established a silicon material company in Ordos (see China PV News Snippets)

Trina mass-produces 210R Extreme modules: Chinese solar module manufacturer Trina Solar said that it has mass-produced the first batch of 210R Extreme modules at its 210 Yiwu Super Factory. The new 210R series is expected to have a production capacity of 10 GW by the end of this year and 20 GW+ by 2023. The new generation of supreme modules will usher in a new and upgraded green technology experience to overseas users, speed up overseas shipments and create more zero-carbon photovoltaic roofs.

Shanghai Automation to spend RMB 14.8 billion on monocrystalline project: PV production equipment maker and mono-wafer company Shanghai Automation stated that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Hongyuan New Materials (Baotou), plans to invest in the construction of a 40 GW monocrystalline silicon pulling and related production project in Baotou. The project with an investment of about RMB 14.8 billion ($2.21 billion) will be implemented in two phases. In the first phase, a monocrystalline silicon project with a production capacity of 20 GW will be built, and the project will reach production by 2023. Meanwhile, the second phase comprising 20 GW monocrystalline silicon production capacity will begin as per the market conditions.
