Phase II of JinkoSolar Jianshan cell/module project begins: Vertically integrated module supplier JinkoSolar said that Phase II of its Jianshan 11 GW high-efficiency cell and 15 GW module production line project has officially begun. The company further added that basis the success of Phase 1, the Jianshan Phase II project will continue to increase investment in N-type TOPCon production capacity. Huasun Energy releases HJT modules: Chinese solar panel manufacturer Huasun Energy announced in its WeChat communication that it has released its Himalaya G12 series of modules. This series of modules uses 210 large size HJT special cells and combines single-sided microcrystalline technology. It is a bifacial double-glass half-chip module, which can achieve a double-sided rate of up to 85% and a better LCOE cost. The company aims to become the first manufacturer to ship more than 1 GW of HJT modules. Recently, Huasun Energy increased its HJT module power to 500 W (see China PV News Snippets). Xinjiang Fukang and HYDROCHINA strike 5 GW new energy development deal:  Hydropower and new energy company HYDROCHINA and Xinjiang Fukang Municipal People's Government have signed a 5 GW new energy project development agreement, local media reports published. Located in Fukang City, the project will have 600 MW PV and 600 MW energy storage projects in the first batch. The completion of the first batch of projects is expected to yield an annual on-grid electricity of about 1.16 TWh.
