Jolywood signs deal with Pakistan's Feroze Power; Akcome subsidiary seals RMB 14.08 billion deal; Yaoling New Energy partners with Lanshan Government; Hangzhou Microquanta improves perovskite modules conversion efficiency.
Jolywood partners with Feroze Power for renewable energy: N-type solar module manufacturer Jolywood has signed a cooperation agreement with EPC company in Pakistan, Feroze Power. As per the agreement, Jolywood will supply Niwa series 30 MW high-efficiency n-topcon bifacial modules to Feroze Power for household, industrial, and commercial rooftops in Pakistan. The Niwa series modules are light weight with high efficiency, and can reduce BOS cost and LCOE. Last month, Jolywood had signed up Kelongwei for 4 GW-second-batch equipment (see China PV News Snippets)
Akcome subsidiary seals RMB 14.08 billion deal: Chinese solar cell and module producer Akcome Technology said that its wholly-owned subsidiary Suzhou Zhongkang Power Development has signed a deal including the purchase and sale of silicon materials with Jiangsu Zhongneng Silicon Technology Development. The latter company is into research and production of polysilicon and monocrystalline silicon. The validity of the deal is from 1 September 2022 to 31 December 2027, and the purchase amount is expected to be about RMB 14.082 billion ($1.97 billion). The order prices will be negotiated monthly, hence there may be some difference in the final transaction amount.
Yaoling New Energy to build solar and perovskite cell facility: Photovoltaic equipment company Yaoling (Guangdong) New Energy Technology and the Lanshan District People's Government of Linyi City held a signing ceremony of the new high-efficiency solar cell and perovskite cell facility. With an investment of RMB 6 billion ($0.84 billion), the facility will be a full-chain production base integrating 2 GWh silicon wafers, 2 GWh heterojunction cells, and 4 GWh photovoltaic modules, and will produce heterojunction silicon-based photovoltaic cells and modules. Once the facility is completed and put into production, it is expected to achieve an annual output value of RMB 12 billion ($1.68 billion) and a tax revenue of RMB 300 million ($41.9 million). This will contribute to low-carbon and high-quality development efforts in Linyi City.
Hangzhou Microquanta improves perovskite modules conversion efficiency: Perovskite photovoltaic technology and industrialization company Hangzhou Microquanta said that the efficiency of its perovskite solar small modules under steady-state output has increased to 21.8%, @19.35cm2. The modules were subjected to a test and was certified by the Japan Institute of Electrical Safety and Environmental Science and Technology. These modules have improved conversion efficiency and also reduced production costs.
