LONGi releases silicon wafer prices: Chinese vertically integrated solar PV company LONGi has released the latest silicon wafer prices on its official website, and there has been no changes in the prices from last month. The prices released stand as:

  • Single crystal silicon wafer P-type M10 with a thickness of 155μm (182/247mm) at RMB 7.54 per wafer($1.05/wafer), same as last month
  • Single crystal silicon wafer P-type M6 160μm thickness (166/223mm) at RMB 6.33/wafer ($0.88/wafer), same as last month
  • Single crystal silicon wafer P-type 158.75/223mm 160μm thickness at RMB 6.13 ($0.85/wafer), same as last month

Jolywood 4 GW high-efficiency cell facility completed: N-type solar module manufacturer Jolywood said that it has completed the 4 GW facility in Shanxi. This marks the partial completion of the first phase of the company’s 16 GW high-efficiency monocrystalline cell factory. Now, it is gearing up to begin the construction of the remaining 4 GW facility which too falls in the first phase. Meanwhile as per the financial conditions, the company will also launch the second phase of 8 GW. It was last month that Jolywood and Laplace had partnered for 4 GW project in Shanxi (see China PV News Snippets)

Hongling Silicon signs up for 100,000 tons of polysilicon: Electronic special materials manufacturer Hongling Silicon Materials has signed a deal at the 7th China-Asia-Europe Expo Financial Forum for an annual output of 100,000 tons of high-purity crystalline silicon. Spread across 931,998 square meters in Midong, the investment of this facility will be RMB 9.5 billion ($1.32 billion) and the construction will take about 15 months. The facility will be built in two phases. First phase comprising 50,000 tons is expected to be put into production end of 2023; and the second phase of 50,000 tons will begin construction in March 2023 and enter production by August 2024. Once put into production, the facility will provide high-quality polysilicon for N-type wafers.

Construction begins for Zhongli 2 GW PV module factory: Solar module producer Zhongli group said in an announcement that its 2 GW PV module factory has begun construction in Huanghua.
