Jingyou 3 GW facility produces high-efficiency PV module: Photovoltaic module customization company Jingyou Solar announced that it has produced its first high-efficiency photovoltaic module at its 3 GW production facility in Jiangyan. The first and second of its production lines have been debugged and will become operational from October. The third production line will be put into operation by November. It is expected that 140 MW of modules will be produced this year.

Shuangliang Eco-Energy releases new photovoltaic modules: Shuangliang New Energy Technology (Baotou), a subsidiary of Shuangliang Eco-Energy, said that it has produced new modules including p-type and n-type 182 and 210 mm size single and double glass modules, with a power range of 400-700 W. Keeping in mind the requirements of the distributed markets at home and abroad, the company has also designed and produced 108 and 120 half-size cell based modules in series. These modules are convenient for transportation and installation, it highlighted. When it comes to large-scale power station projects, Shuangliang has designed and matched 132 single and double glass and 144 semi-series large-sized modules. This move can effectively reduce the system investment cost.

Tongwei Solar raises cells prices: Integrated solar PV manufacturer from China Tongwei Solar announced the latest prices for monocrystalline PERC cells. Here are the details:

  • The price of 210-sized cells has increased by RMB 0.03 ($0.14) and is now priced at RMB 1.33/W ($0.14/W), an increase of 2.3%
  • The price of 182-size cells has increased by RMB 0.02 ($0.14), and is now priced at RMB 1.33/W ($0.14/W), an increase of 1.53%
  • The price of 166-sized cells has increased by RMB 0.02 ($0.14), and is now priced at RMB 1.31/W ($0.14/W), an increase of 1.55%

Construction begins for Sichuan Gaojing Solar ingot/wafer lines: Sichuan Gaojing Solar said in an announcement that the construction for the first phase has begun for its 50 GW monocrystalline silicon rod and 30 GW monocrystalline silicon wafer facilities in Yibin High-tech Industrial Park. With an investment of RMB 22 billion ($0.14 billion), the facilities will begin production by the end of 2022. The first phase will have an investment of RMB 13 billion ($0.14 billion), and will build production lines and supporting facilities of 25 GW of monocrystalline silicon rods and 25 GW monocrystalline silicon wafers.

LEAD develops GW-level TOPCon PV cell production line: New energy equipment manufacturer LEAD said that it has developed its GW-level TOPCon photovoltaic cell production line. This line can produce over 300,000 pieces daily. The yield and fragmentation rate, the company says, have touched the industry-leading level. Adding to this, the company said that the operating cost of the entire line has supposedly reached a low-level, and its mass-produced cell conversion efficiency has exceeded 25%.
