7 GW Of Renewables & Storage Projects Planned In Qinghai Province

Qinghai Province will be hosting about 7 GW projects with leading Chinese solar stakeholders investing and constructing them.

7 GW projects for Qinghai Province: As per an energy administration release in Qinghai, the Province is all set to host about 7 GW projects across 7 energy bases. Here are the details:

  • The projects to include four 1 GW wind-solar power energy bases
  • There will be 1 GW energy bases combining PV and concentrated solar power (CSP)
  • By the end of 2024, a total 5.4 GW of PV, 1.2 GW of wind, 400 MW of CSP, and 1 GW/1GWh of annual storage capacity will be built
  • Companies to invest and oversee the construction of the projects are Longi, Meike Solar, State Power Investment Corp., PowerChina, China Guangdong Nuclear Power Group, and China Energy Engineering Corp
