RenShine to build perovskite PV cell facility in Jiangsu: Perovskite solar cells developer RenShine Solar over WeChat said that it will be building a photovoltaic cell facility. The total investment is about RMB 1.5 billion ($0.21 billion). Out of this, in the first phase, the company will build an automated production line of 150 MW perovskite cells, with an investment of RMB 1 billion ($0.14 billion). Simultaneously, three major industrial chain equipment projects – German-Shanghai intelligent equipment, material-packed vacuum drying equipment, and Lecheng laser – will also be introduced. The investment for this will be about RMB 500 million ($69.6 million).
Drinda signs solar cell deal: Automotive instrument panel assemblies producer Drinda has signed up for a high-efficiency solar cell facility. The total investment is estimated to be about RMB 13 billion ($1.8 billion) and the production capacity will be about 26 GW. This is supposed to be one of the largest facilities of Drinda for n-type solar cell production. In January this year, Drinda had shared its plans for solar cell production (see China PV News Snippets)
DAS Solar Dongshan facility put into production: Chinese solar PV module and cell producer DAS Solar said in a WeChat communication that its 3 GW high-efficiency n-type module facility in the first phase has been put into production at the Dongshan Photovoltaic Industrial Park. Also, the signing of a 3.6 GW high-efficiency n-type module facility for the second phase of DAS Solar Dongshan Base took place. With these developments, DAS Solar will be able to complete and put into production 20 GW of high-efficiency n-type cells and 20 GW of high-efficiency n-type modules by the end of 2022. This will enable the company to fulfil the delivery needs of global large-scale projects.
Zhenjiang Dongfang inks RMB 713 million sales deal: Electrical heating solution provider Zhenjiang Dongfang Electric Heating Technology Co Ltd., said in an announcement that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Dongfang Ruiji, has signed a sales deal with non-residential real estate leasing company, Xinjiang East Hesheng Silicon Industry. As per the deal, Dongfang Ruiji will produce for Xinjiang East Hesheng several sets of reduction furnaces, reduction furnace skids, vaporizer skids and radiant electric heaters. The deal is for RMB 713 million ($99.2 million) and the products will be delivered in batches to Xinjiang East Hesheng's warehouse before May 30, 2023.
Standard for China's BIPV crystalline silicon PV tile released: Led by BIPV provider in China, GAIN SOLAR, a group standard for Crystalline Silicon Photovoltaic Roof Tile for Architecture has been released, local media outlets reported. Going into effect from December 1 2022, this standard will help formulate the standards for crystalline silicon photovoltaic roof tiles for the Building Integrated Photovoltaic (BIPV) industry in China. To generate power, crystalline silicon photovoltaic roof tile encapsulates crystalline silicon solar cells and can also combine effectively with other substrates.
Xinjiang Qiya Aluminum signs polysilicon deal: At the recently held 7th China-Asia-Europe Expo, aluminium products company Xinjiang Qiya Aluminum Electric Co., signed for RMB 16 billion ($2.24 billion) high-purity polysilicon facility with an annual output of 200,000 tons. The facility will be located in Xinjiang Zhundong Economic and Technological Development Zone and will be built in two phases of 100,000 tons each. Also, as part of the 14th Five-Year Plan, the company also plans to invest in a 6 GW photovoltaic power generation project.
