JA Solar & YALONG HYDRO partner for hydro-solar PV project: Solar PV panel manufacturer JA Solar said in a WeChat communication that it has inked a photovoltaic module procurement contract with YALONG HYDRO for the first phase of Yalong River Two Estuary Hydropower Station’s hydro-solar project. JA Solar will be supplying modules to the 1 GW PV pilot project, and enabling hydropower and new energy power generation company, YALONG HYDRO to build the project. This hydro-solar hybrid power station has an investment of RMB 5.3 billion ($0.74 billion) and is scheduled to be connected to the grid at full capacity by 2024.

LONGi Q3 2022 results forecast released: Chinese vertically integrated solar PV company LONGi released its forecast for the first three quarters of 2022. During this period, the company expects that it has:

  • achieved an operating income of RMB 86.4 to 87.4 billion ($12 to 12.14 billion), a year-on-year increase of 54%-56%
