DAS Solar to supply high-efficiency solar modules to China Railway ChenBang (Beijing) Investment Management; POWERCHINA signs hydro-photovoltaic power station project.

DAS Solar partners with China Railway ChenBang: Chinese solar PV module and cell supplier DAS Solar said over WeChat that it has signed a contract with PPP projects financer and investor China Railway ChenBang (Beijing) Investment Management Co., Ltd. As per the contract, DAS Solar will provide solar modules to China Railway ChenBang’s new energy power station. For now, both the parties have reached a purchase intention for PV modules this year, and in principle, the quantity will be about 800 MW. Meanwhile, earlier this month, DAS Solar and Shangji Automation had partnered for delivery of n-type silicon materials (see China PV News Snippets)

POWERCHINA signs hydro-PV power project: Clean and low-carbon energy company POWERCHINA said that it has signed an agreement for a hydro-photovoltaic power station project. This project is supposed to be one of the largest power stations to be built in Sichuan Province. Located in Yajiang County, the project will have an installed capacity of 1 GW and will be connected to the Lianghekou Hydropower Station through a 500 kV transmission line. Once completed, the plant is expected to be able to generate an average annual power of 2 billion kWh.
