JA Solar 10 GW cell facility begins construction: Solar PV panel manufacturer JA Solar announced on its website that construction has begun for its 10 GW high-efficiency cell facility at its Yangzhou Base. This was one of the major facilities among others to have begun in Yangzhou Economic and Technological Development Zone. With an investment of RMB 2.62 billion ($0.36 billion), this facility will apply new generation of high-efficiency cell technology and equipment to produce n-type high-efficiency cells. These cells will be meeting the needs of the global market. Meanwhile, JA Solar will be taking part in the 3-Day TaiyangNews Virtual Conference on High Efficiency Solar Technologies—TOPCon, HJT and Beyond, Today & Tomorrow on Nov. 23-25. This event will see the participation of leaders from research, production equipment and materials supply as well as cell/module manufacturing and market analysis. For free registration, click here.
CSG to build 37.6 MW PV project in Anhui: Solar PV manufacturer CSG announced that using the factory roof of Anhui CSG New Energy Materials Technology, the company plans to build a 37.6 MW distributed photovoltaic power generation project. The total investment for this project is expected to be about RMB 147 million ($20.26 million), and the construction period will be about 13 months.
