DAS Solar & Shougang Casey Steel to focus on PV special steel; Autowell & Jinko ink RMB 96 million deal; China National PV & Energy Storage Experimental Platform releases data.
DAS Solar partners with Shougang Casey Steel: Chinese solar PV module and cell maker DAS Solar said via WeChat communication that agreed with Shougang Casey Steel Co., Ltd. to conduct research on photovoltaic special steel and the development of deep-processing products. They will also jointly establish a Photovoltaic New Material Technology Center focusing on photovoltaic brackets, photovoltaic module steel frames, BIPV (Building Integrated Photovoltaic) and other products.
Autowell to sell JinkoSolar multi-busbar marking and welding machine: Automation equipment manufacturer Autowell announced that it will be selling module supplier JinkoSolar multi-busbar welding all-in-one machines. The total contract value will be about RMB 96 million ($13.7 million). In October 2022, Autowell and JinkoSolar had already signed a grid-connection production equipment contract worth RMB 140 million (see China PV News Snippets)
China National PV & Energy Storage Experimental Platform releases data: The consultation meeting of the National Photovoltaic and Energy Storage Experimental Platform (Daqing Base) was held. The focus was on sharing the first three quarters experimental data of the Daqing base. Here are some of the details:
- In the first three quarters, it has been seen that n-type high-efficiency modules had better power generation, among which n-type TOPCon modules had the highest power generation, followed by n-type IBC modules. The empirical data show that the overall power generation performance of n-type high-efficiency modules is the best.
- Through empirical research on operating parameters such as module operating temperature, voltage, and current, it is found that the overall operating temperature of the base modules is relatively low.
- The outdoor demonstration efficiency of various types of inverters in Daqing base was between 97.5% and 98.5%, which met the requirements of the manufacturer’s promised value. In particular, the conversion efficiency of domestic IGBTs was the same as that of imported IGBTs in each month.
Since its launch in November 2021, the platform has carried out about 161 different empirical experiments with 69 kinds of products, involving 31 manufacturers.
