DAS Solar to build 5 GW PV facility in Ganzhou; Tongwei signs for a 25 GW module facility; Hunan Huamin's 10 GW n-type wafer facility put into operation; Zhejiang Riyue invests RMB 10 billion in Keqiao solar PV production.

DAS Solar signs up for 5 GW PV module facility: Chinese solar PV module and cell supplier DAS Solar said via WeChat that it has signed a deal with Zhangye Ganzhou People's Government, Huadian Gansu Energy, and Zhangye Hexi New Energy Investment Co., Ltd for a 5 GW photovoltaic module facility. The company added that it will adopt industry-leading n-type technology for this facility in Ganzhou district. Once it is completed and put into production, the output value of the facility is expected to be about RMB 8 billion ($1.1 billion) annually. Tongwei invests in 25 GW module facility: Over a WeChat communication, the world's largest silicon and solar cell manufacturer from China, Tongwei Solar, said that it is investing in a 25 GW high-efficiency photovoltaic module facility in Nantong Development Zone. The company's investment in fixed assets will be about RMB 4 billion ($0.59 billion). The construction will begin soon and is expected to finish by the year end. Phase 1 of Hunan Huamin's 10 GW n-type wafer facility put into operation: New materials and digital technology company Hunan Huamin Holding Group announced via WeChat that its subsidiary Honsun's 10 GW high-efficiency n-type monocrystalline silicon ingots and wafers facility has been put into production. As the first phase of the facility gets completed, it is all set to develop the next phase – a 3.5 GW high-efficiency monocrystalline silicon wafer facility. The facility produces 210 large-size silicon wafers that is compatible with various sizes of silicon wafers below 210 mm. The wafers can meet the needs of various high-end solar cells such as HJT, Topcon, and IBC.

Zhejiang Riyue invests RMB 10 bn in Keqiao solar cell manufacturing facility: Jiangsu Photovoltaic Industry Association announced the signing ceremony of the first batch of major investment projects in Keqiao District, Shaoxing City for 2023. Among them is solar cells and modules producer Zhejiang Riyue Solar's photovoltaic cell factory. With an investment of RMB 10 billion ($1.4 billion), the facility will be built in 2 phases. The first phase will see the construction of 10 GW TOPCon cells, while the second phase will focus on 10 GW TOPCon and HJT cells. Besides this, there will also be distributed power stations, energy storage operation companies and photovoltaic research institutes. Once the facility is completed and put into operation, the annual output value is expected to be about RMB 26 billion ($3.86 billion).
