TMP laboratory qualification to Trina PV Mounting System Testing Center; HIUV New Materials invests in new module encapsulants fab; Construction begins for Chuzhou LDK Energy PV cell & module facility; Quanwei New Energy Zaozhuang base produces HJT module; Mammoth to invest in BIPV fully transparent glass fab.
Trina PV Mounting System Testing Center qualified by TÜV SÜD: Chinese solar module manufacturer Trina Solar, over a WeChat communication, said that its Photovoltaic Mounting System Testing Center has been awarded a TMP laboratory qualification by testing and certification organization, TÜV SÜD. A complete and comprehensive certification method provided by TÜV SÜD for photovoltaic enterprise manufacturers, it involves a thorough assessment of the laboratory environment, equipment and post-maintenance, according to Trina. This certification highlights the company's advantageous position in R&D, and demonstrates the quality and reliability of its photovoltaic products, Trina highlighted. Trina Solar talked about its latest n-type module updates at the recent TaiyangNews Solar Module Innovation Conferences; its presentation is accessible here.
HIUV New Materials to build multi-GW PV film production facility: High-tech film technology enterprise HIUV New Materials announced its plans to invest in a 20 GW photovoltaic film production facility in the Jiangxi Shangrao Economic and Technological Development Zone. With an investment of RMB 1.3 billion ($0.19 billion), the facility will produce photovoltaic POE, EVA, white film and other products. The construction will happen in 2 phases, where the first phase will have an investment of RMB 465.1 million ($68.02 million) and the second RMB 834.8 million ($122.1 million).
Chuzhou LDK Energy PV cell and module facility begins construction: Over WeChat, photovoltaic equipment manufacturer and seller Chuzhou LDK Energy said that construction has begun for its 15 GW high-efficiency photovoltaic cells and 3 GW high-efficiency modules factories in Quanjiao County. The investment is about RMB 8.024 billion ($1.17 billion) and the construction will be completed by August 2023.
Quanwei New Energy Zaozhuang produces first HJT module: In a WeChat communication, solar module provider Quanwei New Energy said that its Zaozhuang heterojunction cell and module manufacturing facility has been officially put into operation, and the first heterojunction module has been successfully produced. Once fully finished, the facility will have 5 GW HJT cell production capacity, 15 GW HJT module production capacity, and 5 GWh energy storage capacity. Out of these, the first phase of 6 GW modules and 1 GW of energy storage have started production. The 5 GW cells and 9 GW modules have been planned for the second phase, which is also underway. The HJT module produced now is Quanwei New Energy's Quanyao series of high-efficiency HJT bifacial double-glass modules that can be widely used in BIPV projects, large-scale desert photovoltaic power plants, agricultural photovoltaic projects, and distributed photovoltaic projects, according to the company.
Mammoth Semiconductor to invest in BIPV fully transparent glass fab: Technical services provider for solar power generation, Mammoth Semiconductor, said via WeChat that it plans to invest in Shandong Liaocheng BIPV fully transparent solar power generation glass fab. With an investment of RMB 5 billion ($0.73 billion), the fab will annually produce 3 million square meters of fully transparent solar power generation glass. The first phase will produce 1 million square meters of glass; while the second phase will build a production line for automotive coated glass with an annual output of 2 million square meters. Once the production is complete, the output value is expected to be RMB 2.5 billion ($0.37 billion).
