SC Solar delivers its first HJT equipment: Chinese PV equipment manufacturer SC Solar delivers its first HJT heterojunction cleaning and texturing equipment, the company announced. The equipment is jointly developed and manufactured by SC Solar and new energy customers, with completely independent intellectual property rights. So far, SC Solar has the ability to deliver independent high-efficiency HJT cleaning and texturing equipment, and also promote the localization of heterojunction cell equipment.

Sungrow & AIT CORP partner to provide energy storage system: Solar PV inverter supplier Sungrow has signed an agreement with logistic solutions designer AIT COPR to provide energy storage systems (ESS) for renewable energy plants and off-grid systems. This agreement will strengthen the partnership between Sungrow and AIT CORP, and increase the ESS installation in Vietnam. It will also help improve the renewable energy’s penetration to make grid more resilient. Sungrow’s connect with Vietnam is nothing new and last year too, the company had supplied its 1500V 6.25 MW medium-voltage turnkey solution for a 350 MW PV project in Vietnam (see China PV News Snippets: Sungrow, Shuifa, EnergyTrend)

MLS to establish JV overseas: Energy-efficient-lighting technologies provider MLS said that it has partnered with Landvance Operation Management (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd. and Zhuhai Harmony Excellence Investment Center. The three will jointly fund the establishment of wholly-owned subsidiary Ledvance Energy Solutions China. This joint venture company will be mainly engaged in distributed household and commercial photovoltaic systems and integrated photovoltaic systems overseas. Its business scope will also include research and development, design, manufacturing, sales and services of related products. The investment for the first phase of the project will be about RMB 1 billion ($0.16 billion).

DaTang to invest in 3 GW wind & PV projects: Composite energy company DaTang International Power Generation plans to invest in the construction of over 3 GW wind power and photovoltaic projects, the company said in a release. Some of the projects the company will invest in are: Jiangxi Gao’an Phase II 30 MW photovoltaic power project with an investment of approximately RMB 133 million ($20.88 million); its wholly-owned subsidiary, Yunnan Datang International Electric Power Generation Company Limited, will invest and construct Simao Yingpanshan 50 MW photovoltaic power project with a shareholding proportion of 66%, and for an investment of RMB 272 million ($42.70 million).

Suzhou Maxwell & REC sign 400 MW HJT cell equipment order: Solar cell production equipment maker Suzhou Maxwell Technologies and Singapore based cell and module manufacturer REC Group have signed an order for 400 MW HJT cell complete line equipment. With this, Maxwell will supply PECVD, PVD, screen printing and other HJT core production equipment for REC’s 400 MW HJT production line in Singapore. The line will use 210mm half-cell technology, with a design capacity of approximately 11,200 half-cell/hour. In May, REC had unveiled its latest version of solar modules in the TwinPeak series (see REC Group Unveils 4th Generation TwinPeak Panels).

HJT solar cell technology is one of the topics at the TaiyangNews High Efficiency Solar Conference on Dec. 14-16. On conference day 3, leading and upcoming solar stakeholders with talk about their activities in the field of HJT, including solar cell module makers JA Solar, Risen Energy, HuaSun; equipment maker Ideal Energy; and material companies DKEM and Hangzhou First.
