Zhonghuan slashes monocrystalline silicon wafers prices: Chinese solar wafer manufacturer Tianjin Zhonghuan Semiconductor Co., Ltd announced the latest price of monocrystalline silicon wafers. Compared to its November quotation, the prices of silicon wafers have been lowered. Here are the details:

• G1 wafer is now priced at RMB 5.15 /piece ($0.81/piece), a decrease of 9.1%,
• M6 wafers is priced at RMB 5.05 /piece ($0.79/piece), a decrease of 12.48%,
• G12 wafers (170μm) stand at RMB 8.55/piece ($1.34/piece), a drop of 6.04%,
• Its new M10 wafers are priced at RMB 6.2 /piece ($0.97/piece), and
• its newly added super-large silicon wafer of 218.2mm is priced at RMB 9.22/piece ($1.45/piece)

 Jinko signs 360 MW module supply deal with Tadiran: Module supplier JinkoSolar said in a release that it has signed a 360 MW solar modules supply agreement with Tadiran Solar, who is one of the major distributors in Israel commercial market. The product is the latest N-type TOPCon solar panels named Tiger Neo and the delivery will be from 2022 through 2023. JinkoSolar’s N-type products will be incorporated into Tadiran Solar’s advanced solar power systems for commercial, government, and new home residential customers in Israel. Jinko currently holds a n-TOPCon cell efficiency of 25.4%, and the continuous development of N-type TOPCon cells may lead to cell efficiency beyond 26%, the company feels. IDG to expand investment in advanced manufacturing: Global energy assets investment and management company IDG Energy Investment announced its intentions to expand its investment in advanced manufacturing of semiconductor and solar power industries. The business model will primarily focus on technology and solutions that provide high productivity, while continuing with its existing principal business in the investment in energy-related opportunities. The company is still identifying and evaluating good investment opportunities in companies that are focused on advanced manufacturing, including but not limited to those developing and/or fabricating semiconductor and solar power devices and products. Meanwhile preparing for the investment, the company has introduced highly experienced management members who can lead this segment.
