China Three Gorges & Huili sign PV project agreement: In an announcement, China Three Gorges Renewables Group Southwest Branch said that it has signed a 'million-kilowatt' PV project development agreement with the Huili County Government. This project, which is being planned for the Longquan and Daheishan areas of Huili County, will make a positive contribution to the realization of the dual carbon goal, promote local economic development, and assist rural revitalization. Last year, Three Gorges Europe had entered the Spanish solar space with the acquisition of 500 MW capacity from X-Elio (see Three Gorges To Acquire 500 MW Solar From X-Elio)

JA Solar targets 30 GW shipment in 2021: JA Solar held its 2020 Annual Summary and Commendation and 2021 Mobilization Conference in Yiwu. In 2020, its annual cell module shipments were about 15.88 GW and revenue was at RMB 25.847 billion ($3.99 billion). The revenue and net profit had increased by more than 20%. The vertically integrated  PV Panel manufacturer said it is now all set to strengthen its R&D technology capabilities to improve product performance and achieve 30 GW of shipments for the year of 2021.

Wuxi Lead signs 3 GW equipment order with Waaree: Indian solar PV module manufacturing company Waaree Energies Ltd., has signed a cooperation agreement with Wuxi Lead Intelligent Equipment, which will provide the Indian company with high speed Cell Tabber Stringer Equipment for a 3 GW solar module production line. Earlier this year, Waaree had expanded its annual production capacity by 3 GW with the help of Chinese PV equipment producer Yingkou Jinchen Machinery (see Waaree Places Order For 3 GW Module Production Line)
