• Bluesun Solar to purchase no less than 1 GW of products from CNBM through 2021-2023
  • CETC and Kalyon sign up for the second phase of the 500 MW photovoltaic industrial park
  • Huawei to supply 110 MW of its FusionSolar inverters to photovoltaic wholesaler, Krannich Solar's subsidiary in Greece
  • Sungrow says 95 MWac of 1500 V medium-voltage central inverter solutions have begun operations in Total Eren's two solar PV projects in Kazakhstan

CNBM & Bluesun sign 1 GW PV agreement: Manufacturer for building materials China National Building Material (CNBM) and solar systems company Bluesun Solar Co., Ltd have signed a strategic cooperation agreement in Hefei. The agreement confirms that Bluesun Solar will purchase no less than 1 GW of solar products from CNBM through 2021-2023. CNBM produces both crystalline and CIGS thin-film modules. Earlier in the month, Bluesun Solar had signed a 200 MW supply agreement with Chinese module maker Talesun Solar (see China PV News Snippets: Jinko, Kibing, Arctech, Talesun). Meanwhile few months back, CNBM had got into a Joint Venture with its indirect subsidiary CNBM New Material for a thin film solar module fab In Ruichang, China with 100 MW annual production capacity (see China’s CNBM To Build CdTe Thin-Film Module Fab)

500 MW PV project phase II for CETC and Kalyon: China Electronics Technology Group Corporation (CETC) and Turkish construction conglomerate Kalyon Group have signed up for the second phase of a 500 MW photovoltaic industrial park. Despite the  COVID-19 situation, CETC and Kalyon opened Turkey’s first and only vertically integrated wafer to module production (see 500 MW Wafer-To-Panel Fab Opens In Turkey). With this agreement, CETC wants to accelerate the implementation of the project, improve the technical level, and comprehensively enhance the effectiveness of the cooperation.

Huawei provides 110 MW solar inverters to Krannich Solar: Chinese multinational technology company Huawei will be supplying 110 MW of its FusionSolar inverters to German PV wholesaler, Krannich Solar’s subsidiary in Greece. This transaction will take place through SKE GmbH, Huawei’s official distributor for inverters and monitoring systems in Southeastern Europe. Out of the total power, about 95 MW has already been successfully delivered, while the rest is expected to be delivered by the end of the year.

Sungrow adds 95 MW of PV installations to Kazakhstan portfolio: Chinese solar PV inverter manufacturer Sungrow announced that 95 MWac of 1500 V medium-voltage central inverter solutions have begun operations in French-based IPP Total Eren’s solar PV projects in Kazakhstan-  a 75 MWac (100 MW) plant named M-KAT in the Zhambyl region and a 20 MWac (28 MW) plant named Nomad in the Kyzylorda region respectively.
