Cybrid registers Q4 PV backsheet revenue at RMB 308 million: Announcing its fourth quarter results for 2020, Cybrid Technologies said that the output for its POE encapsulation film was 30,875,300 m2, the sales volume reached 31,829,800 m2, and the operating income at RMB 356 million ($54.98 million). Meanwhile, the output of its photovoltaic backsheets was 31.856 million m2, the sales volume at 31.847 million m2, and the revenue at RMB 308 million ($47.57 million).

Cybrid to raise RMB 700 million for solar encapsulation film project expansion: Cybrid also issued an announcement stating that the company plans to publicly issue convertible corporate bonds and the total amount of funds to be raised will not exceed RMB 700 million ($107.55 million). After deducting the issuance expenses, all the raised funds will be used for the annual production of 255 million m2 of solar encapsulation film production projects. The construction period of the project is 6 months. Trial production will start in November 2021, and it is scheduled to reach full production in April 2022.

Sungrow signs 500 MW strategic agreements during PV Japan Expo: At the recent PV Expo show in Japan, Sungrow signed 500 MW worth strategic agreements to supply PV inverter solutions across Japan. The company also introduced a future-proof PV and energy storage product lineup, which it said is optimized for various Japanese market segments. This will lead to fuelling the transition to a low carbon economy and overshooting Japan’s 2050 carbon neutrality target, the solar PV inverter supplier said in an announcement. Last month, the inverter and mounting systems company, which also develops solar projects, had announced its plans to raise RMB 4 billion ($0.62 billion) for the annual production of 100 GW of new energy power generation equipment manufacturing base projects (see China PV News Snippets: Sungrow, Qingdao, Trina, Tongwei)

Zhonghuan second G12 smart slicing factory in progress: Phase II of Tianjin Zhonghuan Semiconductor’s (TZS) ‘G12 high-efficiency solar cell ultra-thin silicon monocrystalline diamond wire intelligent slicing project’ in Inner Mongolia has successfully completed equipment installation in the first batch, the company said. The planned production capacity of this wafer facility is expected to exceed 25 GW and reach production in the fourth quarter of 2021. Once completed, this will be the second G12 smart slicing plant of the Chinese solar wafer manufacturer.

GoodWe & GS Global partner for 100 MW PV inverter supply: Solar inverter manufacturer GoodWe announced that it has signed a 100 MW photovoltaic inverter supply agreement with South Korea GS Global. The outcome of this agreement has been the inclusion of the its latest HT series (100-225kW) in the GS Global catalogue, suitable for solar commercial and utility projects. The HT series offers up to 12 MPPTs and is compatible with Bifacial solar modules, with a higher threshold of DC current, up to 15A per string.
