Grace Solar signs 400 MW PV project in Japan: PV Solar product manufacturer Grace Solar has signed a 400 MW photovoltaic project with a Japanese clean energy company in Kyushu, the Chinese company announced on its website. Out of which, the first phase of 70 MW shipment has already been made. On completion, the project is expected to generate 500 GWh a year and provide clean energy to 130,000 households annually. Japan is aiming at achieving over 108 GW solar capacity by 2030 (see Japan Eyes Over 108 GW Solar Power Capacity By 2030)
Open-Pit Coal & Shanxi JV to develop 500 MW rooftop project: In an announcement, clean energy developer Open-Pit Coal Industry said that in association with Shanxi Shenghui Intelligent Energy Company it will launch a joint venture company to develop and construct a 500 MW rooftop distributed photovoltaic power generation project in Jinzhong City. Earlier this year, Open-Pit Coal had established two subsidiaries for the development and construction of the first batch of 50 MW and 100 MW residential solar power generation projects in Wengniute Banner and Shandong Province respectively (see China PV News Snippets: Open-Pit Coal, China Huadian, LONGi)
Akcome signs HJT investment agreement: As per a Photovoltaic Network News Report, Chinese solar cell and module producer Akcome Technology successfully signed an investment agreement for its heterojunction manufacturing project in Huzhou City. With this the company continues to work towards its previous commitment of producing HJT solar cell and modules to the capacity of 2 GW (see China PV News Snippets: Trina Solar, Akcome)
Golden Solar ships first batch of 182mm cast-mono wafers: Material science company Golden Solar New Energy announced that its indirect wholly-owned subsidiary Golden Solar Silicon Science & Technology (Xu Zhou) has successfully shipped the first batch of 182mm large-sized cast-mono wafers to Taoistic Solar. Earlier this year, Golden Solar had entered into an agreement with Taoistic Solar Technology (Changzhou) to supply 100 million pieces of cast monocrystalline silicon wafers during the 12-month term commencing from August 2021. In the same month, the company had developed cast monocrystalline silicon flexible heterojunction solar modules by using what it calls the flexible characteristics of cast-mono wafers (see China PV News Snippets: Baotou Steel, Golden Solar, Ginlong).
