Jinergy to sign 1 GW long-term order in Shanxi: PV manufacturer and clean energy provider Jinergy announced that it has signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Shanxi Jinkedian New Energy Co., Ltd. and Beijing Tianrun New Energy Investment Co., Ltd. The three companies will cooperate in Shanxi Province's on ground mounted PV power stations, industrial and commercial distributed PV projects, PV projects in coal mining subsidence areas, residential PV, and integrated energy services. The annual cooperation volume is expected to reach 1 GW. Recently, Jinergy had announced that the average mass production efficiency of its M6 size heterojunction cells has reached 24.3% (see China PV News Snippets: JA Solar, Guan Sheng, Jinergy)
East Hope & Ningxia sign RMB 30 bn agreement: The Ningxia government and silicon manufacturer East Hope signed a strategic cooperation agreement, a local news report said. Hope Group plans to construct upstream and downstream integrated circular economy projects in Ningxia, such as new PV materials, new energy, and complementary agriculture, to reduce energy consumption and carbon emission intensity. The first phase will support the construction of 200,000 tons silicon production capacity. The total investment is estimated to be RMB 30 billion ($4.66 billion).
