JinkoPower issues RMB 3 bn convertible bonds: In an announcement, clean energy provider JinkoPower said the company has issued convertible corporate bonds worth RMB 3 billion ($0.46 billion). The raised funds will be used for investment and construction of photovoltaic power plant projects, which the company feels will add 584.3 MW installed capacity once completed. Few months back, JinkoPower announced its plans to build a 2 GW agricultural photovoltaic power generation project at Fujin City in Heilongjiang Province (see China PV News Snippets: Trina, JinkoPower, Chint)

LONGi module supply for ENGIE: Chinese vertically integrated solar PV company LONGi and Frech energy company ENGIE have got into an effective photovoltaic module procurement agreement for 3 years. Both the companies have signed contracts for several projects with more than 600 MW, whose delivery is expected to be in 2021. It is also anticipated that the 2 companies will be carrying out efficient and in-depth cooperation in India, France, Malaysia and Italy in the next 3 years. Sungrow joins United Nations Global Compact: Sungrow, in an announcement said that it has joined the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC). As the world's leading solar inverter company, Sungrow will now use more bold strategies and promote responsible business actions on a global scale, and jointly promote the early realization of the United Nations sustainable development goals, it said. The UNGC is leading global-local impact initiatives to embed SDG-aligned practices into business operations and across the value chain.

Risen Chuzhou 210mm modules successfully produced: Risen Energy's Chuzhou base has successfully produced its first 210 modules, as per a PVMen new report. Risen Energy Chuzhou had settled in Chuzhou Economic and Technological Development Zone last year, and the company took about 6 months to successfully complete the first module production. Last year, Risen Energy had also signed an agreement with local administration of Chuzhou region in Anhui to develop high efficiency solar cell and module manufacturing capacity of 5 GW each (see China PV News Snippets: Risen, Tongwei, Suntech).
