JinkoSolar supplies 17.5 MW module for Pakistan project and 2.3 GW to Vietnam in 2020: Module manufacturer JinkoSolar announced that its high-performance solar panels are now powering 17.5 MW Fauji solar power plant in Pakistan. Three JinkoSolar module series – Eagle, Cheetah and Tiger – are being used in the project, which is being rolled out in three phases and is expected to be deployed in 3 years. Meanwhile, in 2020, JinkoSolar supplied over 2.3 GW solar modules to Vietnam, including 541 MW modules for Xuan Thien Ea-Sub Project, 127.6 MW to Phu My project, and 611 MW modules for Trung Nam project (see Bifacial JinkoSolar Modules For Vietnam Solar Project).

Almaden expects RMB 130 to 140 million net profit in 2020: Solar glass and module manufacturer Changzhou Almaden Co., Ltd released its 2020 performance forecast, which is expected to turn losses into profits. During the reporting period, the listed company registered a net profit of RMB 130 to 140 million ($20 to 22 million), and a loss of RMB 97,054 million ($14984 million) in the same period last year. The sales volume of the company's solar glass and other products have increased significantly over the same period last year, thus resulting in a positive impact on the company's operating results. JA Solar signs PV module production line in Yangzhou: The Yangzhou Economic and Technological Development Zone Management Committee announced that JA Solar has signed up for new solar cell/module production capacity in Yangzhou. The Chinese vertically integrated solar module manufacturer intends to invest RMB 10 billion ($1.54 billion) in this production line, out of which RMB 6 billion ($0.93 billion) will be used for the first phase. The 10 GW cell and 6 GW module production line is expected to be completed and put into operation in 2021.
