JYT's 24 GW monocrystalline production progresses: Chinese solar wafer and equipment maker JYT Corporation announced news on construction of its 24 GW monocrystalline project. The company and the People's Government of Leshan City, Sichuan Province and Wutongqiao District have agreed to cooperate in the construction of the 24 GW monocrystalline crystallization and wafering project and its related supporting facilities. The project, whose total investment is expected to be RMB 7 billion ($1.08 billion), will be implemented in two phases. The first phase will see the construction of 12 GW capacity for an investment of about RMB 4 billion ($0.62 billion). Autowell Technology wins JA Solar 3.5 GW module workshop bid: IAutomation equipment manufacturer Autowell Technology stated that the company won a RMB 80 million ($12.39 million) bid for JA Solar Vietnam Co., Ltd's 3.5 GW module workshop. The project includes providing High Speed Large-size Multi Busbar Cell Soldering Stringers and Ultra-High-Speed Large-Size Non-Destructive Cutting Machines. Zhonghuan & Ningxia sign G12 silicon investment agreement: Chinese solar wafer manufacturer Tianjin Zhonghuan Semiconductor (TZS) has signed a cooperation agreement with the People's Government of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region and Yinchuan Economic and Technological Development Zone Management Committee, the company announced. Through this agreement, the parties concerned will jointly invest RMB 12 billion ($1.86 billion) in the construction of a 50 GW (G12) solar-grade monocrystalline silicon material smart factory and related supporting industries in Yinchuan.
