Kibing signs agreement with China Southern Power Grid: Solar glass manufacturer Kibing Group announced it has signed a strategic agreement with China Southern Power Grid. It focuses on the application of ultra-white float glass in solar modules and rooftop distributed PV power generation projects. As per the agreement, this will be a strategic cooperation in the PV power generation industry, which actively promotes the application of ultra-white float glass in PV modules. On this basis, both sides will work together to develop rooftop distributed PV power generation projects. Recently, Kibing had announced its plans to invest in a new 1,200 t/d PV glass production line in Dongshan County, Zhangzhou City in Fujian Province (see China PV News Snippets: Kibing, TZS, JinkoPower).

Arctech helps Gaoming launch its BIPV project: An 11.3 MW BIPV rooftop distributed PV power generation project of Gaoming Best Ceramics in Foshan City, Guangdong Province, contracted to Arctech Solar, has been has been officially launched. The project will be completed in the fourth quarter of this year. Once the project is connected to the grid, it will have an estimated annual power generation capacity of 11 million kWh.

GCL sells 149 MW PV capacity: GCL-Poly and GCL New Energy jointly announced that its indirect subsidiaries – Suzhou GCL New Energy, Hubei GCL New Energy and Suzhou GCL Development – will be selling 7 operating photovoltaic power stations with a total grid-connected capacity of approximately 149 MW to Chongqing Lvxin Energy Development, a directly wholly-owned subsidiary of SPIC Chongqing. They will be selling:

  • Entire equity interest in Shiyan Yunneng, Jingshan GCL, Jingshan Xinhui, Shanggao County Lifeng
