LONGI wins Eurowind's 64 MW of Hi-MO 5 supply order: Chinese vertically integrated solar PV company LONGi has won an order from developer and operator of wind turbines and PV projects – Eurowind Energy – to supply 64 MW of its Hi-MO 5 solar modules for three projects in Portugal and Denmark, the company announced. About 22 MW of this batch will be supplied for a project in Portugal, while 42 MW will be delivered for two different (hybrid) projects in Denmark. The delivery is being planned from September 2021 onwards. When LONGi had launched its Hi-MO 5 module series, TaiyangNews had spoken to Hongbin Fang, Director of Product Marketing, and Chang Liu, Product Strategy Director, at LONGi Solar about the coompany's competitive advantages and product positioning (see LONGi: Hi-MO 5 To Account For 30% Shipment in 2021)

Yangling Meichang to build RMB 500 mn diamond wire project: In an announcement, producer and seller of electroplated diamond wires Yangling Meichang said that it plans to a build 257 high-efficiency electroplating diamond production lines in Shaanxi Province. The investment will be about RMB 500 million ($77.18 million) and on completion will be able to produce about 30 million kilometers of electroplated diamond wire and supporting diamond wire busbars. The project will be divided into three phases: first phase comprising 89 production lines, which will be put into operation by the end of 2021; second phase comprising 56 production lines scheduled to be put into operation in the first quarter of 2022; the third phase will be determined by the actual construction and completion of the project, and also the market demand.

Autowell wins JA Solar's RMB 130 mn bid notice:  PV production equipment manufacturer Autowell Technology released it has obtained the winning bid notice for high-speed stringer, wafer inspection, and monocrystal growth furnace projects of JA (Yangzhou) Solar Technology and Qujing JA Solar Technology. The winning bid amount is about RMB 130 million ($20.07 million). Though, the company is yet to sign a formal contract with JA Solar, the delivery of the project begins from the end of August 2021.

SUMEC subsidiary to sell equity in 5 PV companies: Industrial and supply chains integrator SUMEC stated that its subsidiary Jiangsu SUMEC New Energy Development intends to transfer the equity it holds in 5 PV power plants. This is being done to optimize the asset structure. Jiangsu SUMEC will transfer 100% equity interest in three PV companies and 60% of the shares in two other PV power plants.
