NEA announces pilot projects for technological innovation: To promote high-quality development of energy, China's National Energy Administration (NEA) organized the first batch of pilot demonstration projects for technological innovation (energy storage). As reported in Chinese solar blog PVMen, a total of eight projects were selected in four main application areas, including renewable energy power generation, user side, grid, and auxiliary services with conventional thermal power.
Kong Sun power generation from Jan to Oct touches 1.58 TWh: Hong Kong based Kong Sun Holdings Ltd has stated that the solar power plants currently owned by the Group have generated about 1.58 TWh electricity from January to October 2020. In the corresponding period last year, the plants had generated about 1.51 TWh. The total installed capacity of the Group was 1.2 GW as of 31 October 2020.
CGN New Energy solar power generation rise by 63.9%: As per an announcement made by CGN New Energy, the power generation of the company and its subsidiaries on a consolidated basis has amounted to 1,214 GWh for the month of October 2020. This represents an increase of 10.9% compared with the corresponding period of 2019. In particular, power generation of its PRC solar projects increased by 86.5%. For the ten months ended 31 October 2020, the accumulated power generation of the Group amounted to 11,484.5 GWh, representing an increase of 2.3% compared with the corresponding period of 2019. In particular, power generation of PRC solar projects increased by 63.9% during this period.
JA Solar 3.5 GW high-power module construction begins in Vietnam: The construction of JA Solar's 3.5 GW high-power module production project has officially begun in Vietnam. The project is built on existing land of its Vietnam base, where the company already has a production facility and supporting facilities. In September, JA Solar had announced its plans to expand its manufacturing capacity through a new project company in Vietnam's Gwangju Industrial Zone, Bac Giang province (see JA Solar To Expand Capacity For RMB 10.39 Billion)
