Suntech's Ultra V Series modules IEC Certified: Chinese solar cell and module manufacturer Suntech announced that VDE in Germany has certified its Ultra V Series high-power PV modules with two certificates – IEC 61215 and IEC 61730. The certifications include both monofacial & bifacial modules of Ultra V Series. At the same time, bringing its technology to rooftop-ready module formats, Ultra V mini Series, the full-black mini-sized module is set to exceed 410 W output power. In August last year, Suntech had reported increasing its aggregate solar module production capacity to 6 GW with the addition of 1.5 GW high efficiency in Wuxi (see Suntech Expands & Introduces 600W+ Module)

EGing PV to sell 100% equity of Changji EGing PV for RMB 2.048 mn: In an announcement, Chinese module manufacturer EGing PV announced that it intends to transfer 100% of its wholly-owned subsidiary Changji EGing Photovoltaic Technology Co., Ltd. to Beijing United Rongbang New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. at a transfer price of RMB 2.048 million ($0.31 million).

Baofeng to issue 20 mn shares to develop PV and related businesses: In a company announcement, Baofeng said that it intends to issue 20 million new shares to the subscriber (an independent third party), accounting for the company's expansion through the allotment and issuance of subscription shares. The issue price per share is HK$4 ($0.51), and out of the net proceeds from the subscription, approximately HK$300 million ($38.59 million) will be used for the development of PV and related businesses.
