ReneSola to sell 12.3 MW projects in Hungary: In an announcement, Chinese solar power project developer ReneSola Ltd said that the company has entered into an agreement to sell a portfolio of projects located in Hungary to solar investment company Obton. The portfolio comprises 20 solar plants in five locations, including Sárbogárd, Kömlöd, Szajol, Lukacshaza, and Törökszentmiklós, with a combined capacity of 12.3 MW. These 20 solar projects, which were successfully connected to the grid in 2020, are now in operation and are qualified under the Hungarian 25-year KAT feed-in tariff scheme.

IRICO to construct solar glass production line: IRICO Group New Energy Company said that it is partnering with People's Government of Shangrao City for the construction of the IRICO Shangrao ultra-thin and high-transmissivity photovoltaic glass production line. The project, being carried out in three phases, will see the construction of 10 ultra-thin and high-transmissivity solar glass furnaces and the supporting processing production lines. The first phase will involve the construction of three production lines.

Canadian Solar's first part of 10 GW wafer production facility to begin construction: The signing ceremony kicking off construction of Canada headquartered Canadian Solar Inc's (CSI) 10 GW diamond wire slicing production line took place in Funing, Yancheng, Jiangsu. The production line will be constructed in two phases with a planned total investment of RMB 1 billion ($0.15 billion). The first phase of the production line starting in January 2021 is planned to complete and become operational by June 2021.

Construction of JinkoSolar 20 GW cell manufacturing base start: Vertically integrated module supplier JinkoSolar's new cell factory with 20 GW capacity in Chuxiong, Yunnan province, is poised to be one of the biggest individual cell manufacturing facilities in the world, the company said. The first phase of 10 GW is expected to roll out mass production by April 2021. Once JinkoSolar achieves its 20 GW projection, its cell capacity will rise to over 30 GW.
