NEWS FROM SNEC 2023:

Huasun and Sunket seal HJT GW-scale deal at SNEC: At the SNEC exhibition in Shanghai, Chinese solar panel manufacturer Huasun and hi-tech enterprise SunketSolar struck a deal. With this, SunketSolar is all set to buy 5 GW heterojunction products from Huasun within the coming 5 years. Huasun, in turn, will support SunketSolar with timely deliveries, quality and after-sales services.

Astronergy releases ASTRO N7 series module: Through a WeChat communication, PV module manufacturer Astronergy said that it has launched its new product ASTRON N7 at SNEC 16th (2023) International Solar Photovoltaic and Smart Energy (Shanghai) Conference and Exhibition. ASTRO N7 series modules are an upgraded version of its ASTRON n-series released in April last year, and adopts Astronergy's self-developed n-type TOPCon3.0 high-efficiency cell and Boron-LDSE cell technology. The module power is up to 615W+, and the module efficiency is up to 22.7%+, realizing high efficiency, high power, high reliability, high power generation per watt, low BOS and LCOE. In comparison to PERC, the power of ASTRO N7 single-cell cells can be raised by 15%+, thereby effectively reducing the cost per watt and improving the power and efficiency of modules. Meanwhile, TaiyangNews' Top Solar Modules Listing for May 2023 cites that Astronergy's Astro N5 series has touched 22.5% efficiency and power of 580 W (see Top Solar Modules Listing – May 2023). Also watch out for Astronergy as it takes part in TaiyangNews Global PV System Technology Trends H1/2023 Virtual Conference scheduled to take place on 27-28 June, 2023. GCL Integration launches Lotus series of modules at SNEC: At the International Solar Photovoltaic and Smart Energy Conference (SNEC), solar PV cell and module manufacturer GCL System Integration launched its Lotus series of new high-efficiency modules. The power generation gain of Lotus modules can reach up to 12%, it claims. Compared with the shading loss caused by mud pollution, the Lotus module can reduce the system's cost of electricity by about 7%, the company added. Earlier this month, GCL had said that its module capacity is expected to exceed 30 GW by the end of this year (see China Solar PV News Snippets)

DAS Solar unveils full range of DAON 3.0 products: Over WeChat, Chinese solar PV module and cell supplier DAS Solar announced that it has released DAON 3.0 products at SNEC. The power of DAON 3.0 modules ranges from 430W to 640W. Equipped with TOPCon 3.0 technology, the average efficiency of cells mass production is 25.3%, and the highest efficiency is 25.8%. The laboratory efficiency is 26.24%, creating a world record of 730mV open circuit voltage. DAS Solar will be participating in TaiyangNews Global PV System Technology Trends H1/2023 Virtual Conference scheduled to take place on 27-28 June, 2023. For free registration, do click here.

DR Solar to supply equipment for 5 GW PV module facility: While exhibiting at SNEC, solar thermal utilization equipment seller DR Solar said via WeChat that it has signed a deal with the Panji District Government for a 5 GW high-efficiency photovoltaic module facility. The investment is likely to be RMB 2 billion ($0.28 billion). The facility will be built in two phases. The first phase will be that of 3 GW with an investment of RMB 1.5 billion ($0.21 billion), wherein the expected annual output value is RMB 5.1 billion ($0.72 billion). Meanwhile, the second phase will be that of 2 GW with an investment of RMB 500 million ($70.7 billion), wherein the expected annual output value will be about RMB 3.4 billion ($0.48 billion).
