Risen Energy signs 1 GW HJT module supply order with Athien: Chinese solar panel maker, Risen Energy, over WeChat said that it has signed a 1 GW high-efficiency heterojunction module supply agreement with an independent power plant Athein Holding. With this agreement, Risen will rely on Athein to provide overseas photovoltaic projects that uses HJT products, especially Hyper-ion Fuxi series 700W+ photovoltaic modules. Fuxi is based on 210mm ultra-thin large silicon wafer and adopts a unique low-temperature double-sided passivation contact and double-sided microcrystalline technology. This partnership with Athein is expected to strengthen Risen's competitiveness in the global market. Meanwhile, Risen had taken part in TaiyangNews Conference on Global PV System Technology Trends H1/2023 recently and had spoken on Very Large 700+W HJT Modules For Utility Applications (see Jiajun Ye, Risen Energy: Very Large 700+W HJT Modules For Utility Applications)

35 Interconnect to buy 600 MW HJT cell production line: China based cloud computing for enterprise information services company 35 Interconnect announced that its subsidiary, Liansheng PV, will be buying a high-efficiency 600 MW heterojunction solar cell production line from Maxwell Technologies. This will be used in the company's 8 GW high efficiency heterojunction cell facility, which is currently in the first phase. Spread across 388 mu, the 8 GW facility has an investment of RMB 4 billion ($0.55 billion) and is expected to be completed by June 2025.

TCL Zhonghuan to raise RMB 13.8 billion: Leading solar wafer supplier TCL Zhonghuan announced that it will be raising funds to the tune of RMB 13.8 billion ($1.9 billion). The funds will be invested in 35 GW high-purity solar ultra-thin monocrystalline silicon wafers facility, which will produce G12 large-size silicon wafers; and 25 GW n-type TOPCon high-efficiency solar cell 4.0 smart facility, which will produce n-type TOPCon high-efficiency solar cells.

JinkoSolar signs over 50 GW orders: Disclosing its investor relations activity sheet for June 2023, module supplier JinkoSolar said that owing to the strong global demand, the company has signed for over 50 GW of orders. By the end of 2023, the company expects to have a production capacity structure for 75 GW silicon wafers, 75 GW cells, and 90 GW modules, of which n-type cell production capacity will account to over 70%. In the recently concluded TaiyangNews Conference, JinkoSolar had spoken about the dimension of standardization calling it the best choice for next-generation module products (see Leo Cong, JinkoSolar: The Dimension Standardization)
