China and Jordan Sign Energy Cooperation MoU Covering Renewables and Hydrogen: China’s National Energy Administration (NEA) has signed a memorandum of understanding on energy cooperation with Jordan’s Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, covering energy planning, electricity, renewable energy and hydrogen. The agreement was signed during Jordanian King Abdullah II bin Al Hussein’s visit to China, where he had talks with Chinese President Xi Jinping. The two countries also signed cooperation memoranda in areas including mineral resources, the environment and climate change, and agreed to strengthen cooperation in energy and mining while exploring emerging areas such as the green economy. During the visit, Abdullah II also met representatives of Chinese companies in the energy, mining, fertilizer and advanced manufacturing sectors, inviting them to expand their business and investment in Jordan.

Mellow Energy Completes On-Vehicle Validation of Flexible Perovskite PV Roof at China FAW: Perovskite manufacturer, Mellow Energy, has completed on-vehicle application validation of its self-developed automotive perovskite PV roof with automobile maker, China FAW. A full-size perovskite roof prototype has been fitted on the vehicle’s double-curved surface, and the product has now entered vehicle-level integration validation. Mellow Energy said its 1.5 m² flexible perovskite modules have achieved a conversion efficiency of 19.1%, while its 300 × 300 mm² ultralight flexible modules have touched 21.79%. In its association with automakers including China FAW, the company has provided both 300 × 300 mm² and square-meter-scale modules, and supported the process of performance testing to solution validation to vehicle integration, as it advances customized vehicle-integrated photovoltaic (VIPV) application

Shihai New Materials Plans GW-Scale Perovskite Module Project: Inner Mongolia Shihai New Materials Co., Ltd. announced that it has signed a framework cooperation agreement with the government to invest RMB 2.25 billion in a new materials and new energy project in Dalad Banner, Inner Mongolia. The project will cover three business areas: semiconductor-grade high-purity quartz sand, high-frequency quartz fabric (Q-cloth) for AI applications, and perovskite PV. Once completed and operating at capacity, the project will have a GW-scale production capacity for high-efficiency perovskite modules, an annual production capacity of 10,000-tonne scale for semiconductor-grade high-purity quartz sand, and a million-square-meter-scale annual capacity for high-end quartz fabric.

HY Solar Named Sole Preferred Bidder for 723 MW Module Procurement in Inner Mongolia: PV manufacturer, HY Solar, has been named the sole preferred bidder for a 723 MW module procurement tender for the 600 MW PV project in Zhungeer Banner Guangzhiyuan, Inner Mongolia. With a bid price of RMB 0.698/W, the project has an AC-side capacity of 600 MW. While the module procurement totals to about 723 MW, the project requires n-type monocrystalline bifacial dual-glass modules rated at 725 W on the front side, with rear-side output excluded from the stated module power rating.
