Jinko ESS testing center receives CNAS accreditation

Jinko ESS, the energy storage arm of JinkoSolar, has announced that its testing center has received accreditation from the China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment (CNAS). The center meets the international ISO/IEC 17025 standards in both technical competence and management practices. With this accreditation, its test results will now be recognized across over 100 member countries of the International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC).

The testing center focuses on energy storage systems (ESS), power conversion systems (PCS), and other core equipment and critical components. Spanning 7,000 m², the laboratory is equipped with over 500 high-precision instruments covering system functionality and performance, electrical safety, environmental adaptability, and other technical areas.

Previously, the lab qualified as a witness testing facility by both CSA Group (Canada) and TÜV Rheinland (Germany). Earlier this year, Jinko ESS was included in BloombergNEF’s (BNEF) Tier 1 Energy Storage Provider List for Q1 2025 (see China Solar PV News Snippets).

China Huadian launches 20 GW solar module tender

China Huadian, one of China’s largest energy developers, has launched a centralized procurement tender for 20 GW of solar modules for its new energy projects for the period of 2025 to June 2026. This is said to be one of the largest solar module tenders in China in 2025.

The tender is divided into 2 lots:

  • As part of Lot 1, the company aims to procure 18 GW of bifacial dual-glass modules based on n-type TOPCon cells, with a minimum efficiency of 22.5%.

  • Lot 2 involves the procurement of high-efficiency bifacial dual-glass modules using n-type TOPCon, HJT, or Back Contact (BC) cells, with a minimum efficiency of 23.8%, for a total volume of 2 GW.

Recently, Huadian New Energy, the wind and solar energy platform of China Huadian Group, announced that it intends to raise approximately RMB 18 billion ($2.5 billion) to invest in renewable energy projects (see China Solar PV News Snippets).

Renshine introduces turnkey services for perovskite production

Perovskite manufacturer Renshine Solar has introduced turnkey services for perovskite manufacturing. According to the company, the service covers the entire lifecycle of a perovskite production line, from greenfield design, core equipment selection, and process integration to yield optimization and ongoing upgrades.

Renshine stated that it delivered its first project of this kind in 2024, helping a customer establish a pilot line, where cell conversion efficiencies have surpassed 18%.

In February this year, Renshine started constructing its GW-level perovskite manufacturing facility in Changshu City, Jiangsu Province (see China Solar PV News Snippets).

Hainan Development continues shutdown of PV glass production lines

Haikong Sanxin (Bengbu) New Energy Materials Co., Ltd., the PV glass manufacturing arm of Hainan Development, is shutting down most of its solar PV glass production lines. The company operates 2 furnaces (550 t/d and 650 t/d) and 7 deep-processing lines. The 650 t/d furnace was shut down for cold maintenance in September 2024.

According to an announcement from parent company Hainan Development, due to a significant decline in PV glass prices and sustained financial losses, the remaining 550 t/d furnace and 5 deep-processing lines will also be partially suspended. Only 2 processing lines will remain in operation, with the company relying on externally procured glass substrates to maintain flexible production and limit losses.
