Federal Express Corporation (FedEx) has activated its first on-site solar installation in East China at the Shanghai Pudong International Airport cargo area.
Spanning over 4,000 m², the PV system is expected to generate 743,000 kWh of electricity annually, reducing nearly 417 metric tons of CO₂ emissions.
The project adds to FedEx’s solar installations across Asia Pacific, including facilities in South Korea, Beijing, and Singapore. Globally, the company has deployed more than 31 GWh of solar generation across over 30 sites and operates more than 8,000 electric vehicles. The installation is in line with FedEx’s target of achieving carbon-neutral operations by 2040.
