Manufacturing expansion: Jupiter International has commissioned a 1 GW mono PERC solar cell manufacturing line, its 3rd cell unit in Baddi in Himachal Pradesh’s Solan District. It expands the manufacturer’s total capacity from 959 MW to nearly 2 GW. The new unit has been executed by its wholly-owned subsidiary Jupiter Solartech Pvt. Ltd. (JSTPL). The company also aims to bring another 1.25 GW TOPCon solar cell line online as part of its long-term vertical integration roadmap. A year ago, the company had announced plans to achieve 3 GW of wafer, 9.4 GW of solar cell, and 6 GW of module capacity over the next 3 years. In August 2025, it entered a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Maharashtra government to establish a vertically integrated fab in Butibori, Nagpur (see India Solar PV News Snippets).
Expansion for Premier Energies: Solar PV manufacturer Premier Energies Limited is expanding into the renewable energy EPC segment under a joint venture (JV) with BA Prerna Renewables Private Limited. Premier will own 51% of the JV, HeliosAnthos Energies Private Limited, while BA Prerna will hold the remaining 49% stake. It will offer end-to-end EPC solutions covering land acquisition, transmission connectivity, statutory approvals, detailed engineering, procurement, installation, and commissioning services. The JV will undertake contracts for solar, wind, standalone battery, and solar-wind-battery hybrid projects across India. Premier Energies Managing Director and CEO Chiranjeev Saluja said this would strengthen the group’s downstream capabilities, expand its footprint across the renewable energy sector, and increase its business share across the value chain.
$100 million equity investment: Radiance Renewables, the C&I-focused renewable energy platform, has secured $100 million equity investment from Impact Fund Denmark (formerly IFU) and FMO, the Dutch entrepreneurial development bank. The Indian company says this partnership will help it accelerate its pan-India footprint as it targets 2 GW capacity.
Manufacturing collaboration: PVV Infra Limited has signed an MoU with Taiwan-based ITC Services Company Limited to advance its planned GW-scale TOPCon solar cell and module production projects in India’s Andhra Pradesh. PVV Infra plans to establish an integrated manufacturing complex with 1.2 GW TOPCon cell, 1 GW module assembly, battery energy storage system (BESS), and microinverter production. ITC will offer its consultancy to PVV for customization and technology transfer for the integrated project under the MoU.
Big wins for ACME: ACME Solar, the integrated renewable energy company, has secured a letter of award (LOA) for a 301 MW/1,204 MWh assured peak supply Firm and Dispatchable Renewable Energy (FDRE) project from the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI). It will develop the project (comprising solar and storage) under SECI’s FDRE tranche VII and start commercial operations 24 months from the date of signing the 25-year power purchase agreement (PPA). It will sell power at a tariff of INR 6.28/kWh. It also secured an LOA for a 220 MW solar with BESS facility at Morena Solar Park from Rewa Ultra Mega Solar Limited (RUMSL) in Madhya Pradesh. Power generated will be sold to Madhya Pradesh Power Management Company Limited (MPPMCL) and RUMSL at a tariff of INR 2.764/kWh for 25 years. ACME reported 53.9% annual increase in its Q3 FY 26 (ended December 31, 2025) revenue of INR 617 crore while increasing its EBITDA by 57.2%. Its operational capacity at the end of January 2026 reached 2.96 GW, comprising solar, wind, storage, hybrid, and FDRE projects.
220 MW in Madhya Pradesh: Ceigall India Limited, the EPC group, has received an LOA for a 220 MW solar project with integrated BESS capacity to be deployed at Morena Solar Park in Madhya Pradesh. It quoted INR 2.70/kWh tariff for the facility to win the project from Rewa Ultra Mega Solar Limited (RUMSL).
