Deal for 83 MW: Stonepeak-backed, Singapore-headquartered data center company Digital Edge has signed a renewable energy power purchase agreement (PPA) with Indian independent power producer (IPP) Hexa Climate Solutions Pvt. Ltd. for up to 83 MW of solar power. This clean energy will support Phase I of the 350 MW AI-ready BOM data center campus in Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra, being executed by Digital Edge India (DEI). Power supply will begin in phases from December 2026 and is expected to offset about 100,000 tonnes of CO₂ annually. Digital Edge is building the BOM project under a joint venture with the National Investment and Infrastructure Fund (NIIF) and AGP Sustainable Assets, and will also use recycled water-based liquid cooling to improve energy and water efficiency. DEI says it will acquire a substantial minority equity stake in the associated renewable energy projects, ensuring captive user status.
Equipment deal: European wet processing equipment supplier RENA Technologies will supply its advanced wet chemical processing systems for a new 1.2 GW TOPCon solar cell manufacturing line in Surat, Gujarat. The facility is described as the first of its kind in Gujarat. The contract with CELLORAA ENERGY PRIVATE LIMITED was initialized with a handshake agreement at the TaiyangNews Solar Technology Conference India 2026 (STC.I 2026) in New Delhi in early February 2026, and was formalized with a contract signing on February 24, 2026. Under the deal, RENA will deliver its latest generation wet processing tools, including InEtchSide 4+, BatchPolyClean N600, BatchEtch N600, and BatchTex N600.
