

Chennai-based Raana Semiconductors plans to launch its first commercial-grade 12-inch Czochralski (CZ) single-crystal machine for solar module manufacturers within the next 10 to 12 months. The company aims to manufacture and supply machines supporting around 10 GW of solar cell production over the next three years.
The Hindu BusinessLine quoted Founder and CEO Rajasekar Elavarasan as saying that Raana is seeking an order for around 2 GW of machine capacity from a major Indian solar manufacturer. If secured, the order could help the company reach a topline of around INR 300 crore by FY28. It is also setting up a 40,000-square-foot facility in Hosur to manufacture CZ machines. Elavarasan claims the company’s machines have about 70% local content, which it will incrementally improve over the next few years. Premier Energies Limited and RCT India, part of Germany-based RCT Group, have signed a binding term sheet to form a joint venture (JV) to establish a 12 GWh battery energy storage system (BESS) manufacturing facility. The proposed facility in Telangana will be developed through Premier Battery Technologies, a Premier Energies subsidiary, with Phase I planned at 6 GWh. According to a company statement, the partnership will serve India’s commercial, industrial, and utility-scale energy storage markets as well as international markets. The facility is also intended as an export-oriented manufacturing platform in India.
Vikram Solar Limited has secured a 124 MW module supply order for a solar project in Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh. Under the agreement, the company said it will supply G12R TOPCon modules with rated capacities ranging from 620 W to 630 W. Module deliveries are scheduled to begin in October 2026. The order comes as Vikram Solar has expanded its module manufacturing capacity to 15.5 GW. It plans to add 9 GW of cell, 9 GW of ingot-wafer, and 15 GWh of BESS production till FY2030 as part of its vertical integration roadmap.
ACME Solar Holdings has commissioned Phase I of a 300 MW solar power project in Bikaner, Rajasthan. The commissioned capacity at Kelan Village in Chhatargarh stands at 66.68 MW. It is developing the project through its subsidiary, ACME Renewtech Private Limited. Separately, ACME Solar has commissioned Phase I of the BESS component of a 300 MW/1,581 MWh Firm and Dispatchable Renewable Energy (FDRE) project at the same location. The commissioned BESS capacity is 53.63 MW/300 MWh, with commercial operation scheduled for September 16, 2026.
Indian Renewable Energy Implementing Agency, Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI), has completed its 870 MW DC/700 MW AC solar module procurement tender, awarding a combined 900 MW DC. It has selected Kosol Energie Private Limited for 300 MW DC and Saatvik Green Energy Limited for 600 MW DC module supply. Modules to be supplied will be domestically manufactured with domestically manufactured solar cells. Juniper Green Energy has fully commissioned a 75 MW wind-solar hybrid power project in Maharashtra. The company commissioned the final 10 MW of wind capacity at the project site on September 9, 2026. The Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) will now issue a formal certificate. Following the commissioning, Juniper Green Energy and its subsidiaries have an aggregate operational capacity of approximately 2.604 GW and 500 MWh of BESS capacity.
