Gransolar & Total Eren win Ecuador project: The Ministry of Energy and Non-Renewable Natural Resources (MERNNR) of Ecuador has awarded the contract for 14.8 MW solar PV project with 40.9 MWh battery energy storage capacity to the consortium of Gransolar & Total Eren. The Conolophus Renewable Energy Microgrid Project will be built in Santa Cruz and Baltra Islands for an estimated $63 million. Work will also include the implementation of a Micro-Grid Central Control System that will integrated all existing and future generation and storage plants. The project is part of the country's Zero Fossil Fuels in Galapagos initiative and is aimed at reducing the use of petroleum and diesel here. The consortium was the sole company that submitted technical bid for the project (see Only Gransolar Submits Bid For Ecuador Tender).

7 offers for Argentina tender: The Renewable Energy Project in Rural Markets (PERMER) in Argentina has attracted 7 offers for the design, construction or expansion and initial operation of 4 mini grids powered by renewable energy for the isolated communities of Rio Negro and Catamarca. Projects will be located in the towns of Laguna Blanca, Aguada Guzman and Colan Conhue. The National Secretariat of Energy said offers were received from Proyección Electroluz SRL, Sungreen SRL, SE.MI. SA, EMA Electromecánica SA, Coradir SA, Obras Andinas SA and Multiradio SA. The tender was launched in July 2021 (see Latin America PV Snippets: Argentina, Innergex, Norsk Solar).

Helexia to build 60 MW solar: A Voltalia subsidiary, Helexia has started constructing 17 solar PV projects for Telefonica brand Vivo mobile phone networks in Brazil, representing 60 MW combined capacity (see Voltalia Acquires Rooftop Solar Installer Helexia). All projects are set to come online in H1/2022 and supply power generated to local facilities of Vivo for 20 years. Helexia had won the contract to build 17 decentralized PV units in December 2020 (see Spanish Telecom Company To Procure Solar Power In Brazil).
