The Nigerian state of Ebonyi will take help from a Chinese company in setting up a solar module factory. Solar system manufacturer from China, Foshan Sunchees Energy Company signed an agreement with the state government, which included a $4 million solar system production agreement, reported local Nigerian media without sharing any more details about the development.

Ebonyi Governor David Umahi said the agreement reflected the state's vision to be one of the industrialized economies in the country. This will generate employment as well as produce clean energy that could be exported to the rest of the African continent.

The website of Foshan Sunchees says the company specializes in solar power and wind power products including solar wind hybrid systems, on-grid and off-grid PV systems, solar hybrid inverter, and the like.
