Adapture Renewables has commenced commercial operations at its 185 MW Cherry Valley Solar Project in Arkansas. Located in Cross County, the utility-scale project is expected to generate enough electricity to power around 30,000 homes annually and contribute an estimated $16 million in economic benefits to the region over its lifetime. The project was completed on schedule and marks the final facility to enter commercial operation within Adapture’s 441 MW Titanium Portfolio, which spans Arkansas and Illinois. The company said the project will help meet growing regional electricity demand while supporting grid reliability.
Leeward Renewable Energy (LRE) has announced major construction and operational milestones across its 725 MW Oklahoma solar portfolio, representing around $1.5 billion in investment. The portfolio includes seven solar projects, with Twelvemile Solar 1 & 2 and Huckleberry Solar now operational, while Mayes Solar, Salt Branch Solar, and the 200 MW Twelvemile Solar 3 project continue to advance. Several of the projects supply electricity to support Google operations in Oklahoma under long-term agreements.
LRE said the portfolio has supported more than 2,000 construction jobs and is expected to generate nearly $148.8 million in state and local tax revenue over its operating life. The company also highlighted pollinator-friendly habitat initiatives across more than 7,700 acres of the project sites.
Linea Energy has secured project financing for its 172 MWdc Watertown Solar Project in Michigan, which is now under construction. The project is backed by a financing package led by Santander and a 25-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with Consumers Energy.
The project is expected to begin supplying electricity in April 2027, generating enough clean energy to power about 25,126 homes annually. Linea said the project will support around 150 construction jobs and generate an estimated $16.4 million in local property tax revenue over 20 years.
