EliTe Solar at RE+: Singapore-headquartered EliTe Solar attended the show with its high-efficiency n-type and p-type solar cell and module technology. In news of late for its 8 GW solar manufacturing hub plans in Egypt, EliTe said the RE+ 2024 is a key opportunity for the company to strengthen its presence in the US market, and collaborate with other stakeholders in the renewable energy sector (see EliTe Solar Unveils 8 GW Solar PV Manufacturing Plans For Egypt).

Nevados’ solar tracker: US solar tracker company Nevados displayed its TRACE All Terrain Tracker at its booth for which it has now started taking orders. Designed to work with the earth’s topography, including steep and undulating terrain of up to 37% slopes, Nevados assures that its trackers are faster and easier to install and save costs. It plans to deliver TRACE trackers in Q2 2025. Nevados specified that these can be ordered as a fully qualified domestic content tracker for the US market to meet requirements for additional tax credits under the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA). Nevados also has on offer ‘versions produced overseas’ for customers who don’t require US domestic content.

Sungrow showcased FPV solutions: Sungrow Floating PV (Sungrow FPV) was at the show with its high-capacity floating solar system solutions for which it touts as offering stable power generation efficiency and high reliability. It claims that its floating PV system has can withstand snow loads from 0.32 to 1.65kN/m², having undergone extensive testing for temperatures ranging from -40°C to 80°C. These can thrive in extreme weather conditions, including high temperatures, humidity, and heavy snow. Sungrow FPV said its system can work well with various panel types. Seeing a growing market in North America, it plans to ‘deepen its localized strategy’.

Sungrow FPV’s parent, China’s Sungrow also presented its latest portfolio of advanced solar, energy storage and green hydrogen solutions here. It highlighted the SG4400UD-MV-US modular inverter with 4.4 MW capacity, and 1500V string inverter SG350HX-US. It incorporates the best features of central and string inverters and can enable full power operation at temperatures up to 45º Celsius. Another 200 kW string inverter SG200HX-US was also on display, specifically catering to community solar projects, supporting up to 12 MPPTs. This product works best with 500 W+ PV modules, it added. PowerTitan 2.0 energy storage solution was another offering. Sungrow also targeted hydrogen and clean fuels industry of North America with its four-to-one alkaline (ALK) hydrogen production system solution and the PEM containerized hydrogen production solution.
