More Executive Appointments At SEIA

• Having worked with SEIA for 11 years, Katherine Gensler has been promoted to the newly-created position of vice president of regulatory affairs at SEIA
• Erin Duncan will join SEIA as new vice president of congressional affairs with effect from January 23, 2019
• SEIA has announced these appointments as part of its restructuring and expansion efforts

The US Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA) has announced two appointments on the senior executive level as the solar lobby association undertook restructuring and expansion of its leadership team.

A member of the SEIA team for 11 years, Katherine Gensler has now been promoted to the newly-created position of vice president of regulatory affairs with immediate effect. Additionally, she will continue to lead SEIA's advocacy work in the Texas regulatory and legislative arenas.

Erin Duncan is the new appointee as vice president of congressional affairs. She has been a federal lobbyist for the National Education Association for last 11 years. Duncan will assume her responsibilities at SEIA starting January 23, 2019.

"Erin has deep knowledge of Congress, established bipartisan relationships and a strong record of success securing favorable legislation. She will undoubtedly be an asset to the solar industry as we continue our work opening markets and expanding solar's reach across the United States," said SEIA's President and CEO Abigail Ross Hopper.

On restructuring efforts at SEIA, Hopper said it will steer the organization on the path to successfully fulfilling the strategic vision. In August 2018, SEIA announced 2 new appointments as it brought back John Smirnow and created a new position for Tony Chen (see Executive Changes At SEIA).
