New 390W Solar Module From LG Electronics

LG Electronics has introduced what it calls as the 'most reliable and efficient renewable energy solution' ever created by the South Korean company. Targeted towards the distributed generation segment, it pitches the new solar panel for both residential and commercial applications.
The LG NeON H solar panels incorporate 120 N-type half-cut cells with a temperature co-efficiency of  -0.33%/ºC, maximum power output of 390W and bifacial cell structure. LG claims the panel can withstand harsh weather conditions and is resistant to light induced degradation (LID).
It guarantees the panels to operate at 90.6% of their original performance even after 25 years of continuous use, and touts its UL and TUV Rheinland certified in-house solar testing facilities to claim the panels of meeting industry-standard testing criteria.
"As one of only a handful of manufacturers with the confidence to offer a quarter-century warranty on its solar products, LG is continuing its commitment to providing efficient, effective solutions that stand the test of time," said Vice President and Head of Energy Business Unit of LG Electronics Business Solutions Company, Kevin Kim.
The South Korean manufacturer stressed that the new offering delivers 'enhanced performance' compared to the previous model.
In October 2020, LG had launched its 60-cell monocrystalline N-type solar module with integrated microinverter for rooftop solar installations in October 2020 (see New LG Solar Module With Integrated Microinverter).
Of late there has been a rush to introduce advanced solar modules for the DG space. Recently JinkoSolar launched its 'ultra-efficient' Tiger Pro solar modules with 182mm and 415W output  (see 182mm Sized Module From JinkoSolar For DG Market). That was after JA solar launched its DeepBlue with 415W output and LONGi Solar introduced its 66-cell Hi-MO 4 monofacial module, all targeting residential and C&I segments
