New CRO For India’s Vikram Solar
  • Suman Nag has been announced as Vikram Solar's new CRO and will join the team headed by CEO Saibaba Vutukuri
  • His appointment will have him take charge of the company's business development, topline, branding and marketing activities
  • Vikram Solar said nag will be expected to develop and implement a commercial strategy to grow revenues and market share

Vikram Solar Limited has secured the services of Suman Nag as the Indian solar PV module manufacturer and EPC service provider's new chief revenue officer (CRO). He will join the team of CEO Saibaba Vutukuri whose appointment was announced in February 2020.

In his new role, Nag will drive business development, topline, branding and marketing for Vikram Solar. He will be responsible for developing and implementing the company's commercial strategy while also identifying profitable commercial opportunities to grow revenues and market share of the company.

Nag has joined Vikram Solar after working in leadership roles at Suzlon, ThyssenKrupp, Mercedes Benz and General Electric (GE).

"Having Suman as part of the team will aid the company to keep its commitment towards the next phase of growth. Considering the current scenario, I believe a strong and agile commercial strategy is exactly what is needed in the green energy industry. I am optimistic that Suman will help us scale beyond expectations," said Vutukuri.

With an annual module production capacity of 1.2 GW, Vikram Solar is working on expanding its portfolio and explore future ventures, something the company's Managing Director Gyanesh Chaudhary had in mind when he decided to bring in Vutukuri as the CEO leaving him time enough to focus on the 'next phase of growth.
