South Korean electronics manufacturer LG has launched a new solar PV module product that's integrated with the company's own microinverter. It is targeting the rooftop solar space with the AC-module called LG NeON 2 ACe, an addition to its NeON 2 offering.
This microinverter integrated module, launched through LG Electronics USA, is not the company's 1st such offering. In 2019, it had launched LG NeON R ACe solar modules, also with an integrated microinverter.
Promising faster installation for its new module, LG says the new 60-cell monocrystalline N-type panel comes with a power rating of up to 365W and 320W microinverter touting module efficiency of 21.1% and microinverter efficiency of 97%. The company offers 25-year limited product warranty on the module that has been built using tempered glass with high transmission anti-reflective coating.
It also boasts of an aesthetic design with the use of thin, circular shaped wires.
LG says the new module LG NeON 2 ACe includes a lifetime access to LG's EnerVu monitoring platform for both customers and installers to track the long-term performance and the real-time analytics of their solar system. It can also alert LG customer service to help address a technical issue remotely if one were to arise.
"With more and more people continuing to work from home, homeowners increasingly are turning to solar as a smart investment that puts their home to work for them, offsetting high utility bills," said Brian Lynch, head of solar business development, LG Business Solutions USA.
