DG solar capacity in Puerto Rico: The island of Puerto Rico is looking towards distributed generation (DG) solar portfolio to help it generate around 30,000 MWh of renewable electricity annually. The project will be executed by PASH Global under which solar power systems will be installed for 200 Puma Energy petroleum service stations throughout the island where renewable energy comprises only 2.3% of total electricity consumption. PASH Global plans to construct a total of 1 GW renewable energy capacity and 500 MW of battery energy storage in Puerto Rico as it starts retiring its fossil fueled units.

Evergy wants 700 MW solar: US utility Evergy plans to retire 1.2 GW coal-based power generation capacity by 2030, while adding 3.2 GW renewable energy, according to the company's 1^st Integrated Resource Plan (IRP) with the Kansas Corporation Commission. Over the next 3 years, it plans to retire the company's Lawrence (KS) Energy Centre and add 700 MW solar power. By 2030, Evergy plans to reduce carbon emissions 70% by 2030 relative to 2005 levels and achieve net zero carbon emissions by 2045.

Guzman Energy to purchase solar power: Electricity supplier in the US, Guzman Energy has entered a power purchase agreement (PPA) with Primergy Solar for power from a 155 MW AC solar project in Colorado. Primergy said it will bring up the Hesperus Solar Project in La Plata County on 1,500 acres space. It is expected to come online by the end of 2023. "Primergy believes that carefully sited solar farms will power a brighter future and produce healthier economies throughout the Mountain West," said Primergy Solar's CEO Ty Daul.
