Koch Industries acquires DEPCOM Power: Koch Engineered Solutions LLC (KES) has acquired utility scale solar EPC company DEPCOM Power Inc. A subsidiary of Koch Industries Inc. and an engineering company, KES said this acquisition enables its entry into the renewables market. DEPCOM comes with close to 5 GW of capacity comprising completed, under construction and projects at pre-construction stage. KES added that the key elements that drive its entry into renewables are cost-competitiveness of utility‐scale solar, growing energy usage among businesses and households; and continued consumer preference for renewable electricity.

NextEra Energy to sell stake in 2.52 GW portfolio: NextEra Energy, Inc. says one of the subsidiaries of NextEra Energy Resources, LLC will sell its 50% non-controlling stake in some 2.52 GW portfolio of long-term contracted renewables assets. It has entered into an agreement to sell the share to Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan Board. Sale proceeds are planned to be redeployed for new wind, solar and battery storage assets, including more than 18 GW renewables and storage backlog of NextEra Energy Resources'. Remaining 50% stake in the 2.52 GW portfolio is already agreed to be sold to NextEra Energy Partners, LP.

BayWa acquires Beacon Solar: BayWa r.e. Solar Systems LLC has acquired the solar distribution division of the 'largest' publicly traded roofing distributor in the US, Beacon. The division acquired Beacon Solar will add its own warehouses to the BayWa portfolio taking their US count to 16, from 6. With this acquisition, BayWa said it will be able to reduce delivery times in several parts of the country, while adding to its list of solar suppliers and strengthening its business relationships. Over the coming months, Beacon and BayWa said they plan to explore further collaboration to increase choices for customers, offering solar and roofing products nationwide.

Westbridge expands Alberta portfolio: Westbridge Energy Corporation has acquired a 75% controlling interest in Sunnynook Solar Energy Inc. that's developing a 236 MW DC solar PV project and 100 MW battery energy storage system (BESS) in Alberta's Sunnynook in Canada. Westbridge said this expands the company's Alberta footprint from 278 MW DC to 514 MW DC. In all, its utility scale solar PV deployment projects has grown to 735 MW.
