The renewable energy arm of Indian utility NTPC Limited, NTPC Renewable Energy Limited (NTPC REL), has launched a solicitation round for the supply of solar PV modules for the 1.255 GW Khavda Solar Project in Gujarat.

Interested manufacturers will need to transport 1,584.6 MW of crystalline solar PV bifacial modules with a minimum 540 W power rating under the domestic content requirement (DCR) category.

Solar panels, with DC capacity, will be deployed adjacent to each other in blocks – 391.5 MW under block 1, and 397.7 MW each for the remaining blocks 2, 3 and 4.  Bidders can bid for either 1, more than 1 or the entire package by depositing the bid security amount specified.
